Last year I wrote an article about the benefits of playing cash games, and how even "low" stakes can show great returns. I, predictably, was called an idiot by many tournament-only players who understandably don't want to admit that they could make more money in less time by playing cash games. I've been meaning to put my words into practice but got caught up with tournaments and PLO (ugh), so I'm just now getting around to it.
My goal is, over the course of a month, play 100,000 hands of limit hold em and profit $100,000 from them. Honestly, I don't know which goal is more unreachable. I figure this blog will hopefully keep me motivated to put the hands in every day, and can show people what a little work will do for you.
I play on playing 10/20 6-max lhe (since that is the game I used as an example in my article), but since there are only 4+ tables of that at very rare times, I'll expand my games to include 8/16 and 15/30, and include 9-max tables as well. I'm not ruling out moving up or playing HU tables, but those occasions will only be when I am chasing a fish or find a super soft game.
